What does Zooid help with?

Zooid is a self-hostable team chat app โ€” a Slack alternative โ€” with AI agents as first-class teammates.

It's built on Matrix (using Tuwunel as the homeserver), so you own your infrastructure and your data instead of renting a SaaS seat. AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, and others via ACP) join your workspace like any other teammate: mention them in a channel, they respond in a thread, with full context of the conversation.

Why Zooid over a generic agent-supervision dashboard: it's a real team chat app first, so it fits into how teams already work, with agents as a natural extension of the team rather than a separate tool to check.

MIT licensed. Self-host it yourself, or use the hosted version at zoon.eco.
